Insert the key in the lock of the

 

1.  Alphabetical Index of the Names of the family members, immediately you will

     a)   locate your name,

b)     get the number allotted to you in the numerical serial list of family members, termed Index No. (Abbr. I.No.).

c)      The Family Chart No. (Abbr. F.C.No.) is also indicated in the relative column against your name.

 

2.  Now open the Family Charts which will present to you not only

a)      the lineal descent and your relationship with R.B. Jeewan Lal Ji, but will also acquaint you with the

     b)  (i) Names (ii) Addresses (iii) Telephone Nos. (iv) Status (v) Dates of Birth and

          (vi) Marriage Anniversaries of all your family members appearing in your family chart.

 

3.  Allotment of generation serial numbers

         To provide ready and easy reference to the family relationship, a systematic generation

         number has been alloted to each member in the numerical serial No. list of the family

         members in the following order :-

 

    Categories of relatives  :-

    The numbers have been categorised as under :-

    a)  For person coming into family by birth i.e. Sons (Abbreviated as ‘S’) and Daughters

         (Abbreviated as ‘DT.’).

    b)  For persons entering the family by matrimony

     i)  Ladies coming in as Wives / Daughters-In-Law (Abbreviated as ‘W’)

    ii)  Gents coming in as Husbands / Sons-In-Law (Abbreviated as ‘H’)

 

    Generation number :-

    These generation numbers have been worked out as follows :-

     i)  An Ancestral Genealogical Chart (F.C. No. 1) has been drawn up, tracing R.B. Jeewan Lal

         Ji’s ancestral lineage with his previous 5 generations. Thus R.B. Jeewan Lal Ji has been

         allotted No. (6) in this ancestral family chart No.1.

    ii)  To indicate the genealogical relationship with R.B. Jeewan Lal Ji No. 6 has been prefixed

    to each member entering the family by birth and subsequent numbers have been worked

    out by adding the father’s generation and birth position followed  by the member’s own
